The Home Treatment Plan
Heyyo, life is going pretty okay. I am glad to have left Homewood. I see my family doc every 2 weeks, starting next week I will see a psychologist twice a week, and yesterday I started seeing a physiotherapist twice a week. Treatment is busy
Overall my mood is pretty good actually, I am just exhausted. Walking around the block will wipe me out for the day. BUT I've been out skiing a couple times and lasted about an hour and that has been super fun. I went bowling with my family for TWO hours. Wins. After bowling I felt like crap naturally, but it was good while it lasted. I love bowling. I hope bowling dates are still a thing (wink wink nudge nudge future boyfriend).
I think overall I sit around doing nothing a lot less at home than I did at Homewood. I still haven't started therapy yet though.
My family doc is sending me to a fibromyalgia clinic to be assessed. That could explain the exhaustion and some of the pain. The problem is there really isn't a treatment for fibromyalgia, except basically what I am doing. With physio we are stretching out a lot of my leg muscles that are too tight and straining my back, and then will be strengthening my core. I just have to remember to get those exercises into my schedule.
Watching all the St. Patrick's Day shenanigans really made me miss Kingston and all the people I have there. I have the best girl friends there that talk to me every day but it is still really hard being distanced from them. Hopefully I will get to visit them in the near future, but they are busy girls and I don't really have the stamina for a 3.5hr drive.
That's it for now, have a great day
Jess
