So Much To Tell
Hello everyone,
I know it has been a long time since I have updated my blog. So sorry, but I have been so busy. Making lots of adult decisions.
First, I am most excited to tell you, I am moving back to Kingston! I am currently in the process of signing a lease with 2 of my best friends from elementary and high school. They have both graduated college and are going to move out to Kingston with me and find jobs. I had to go to Kingston twice last week because we thought we had found a place but it was rented before we could apply for it. So we went back a second time to find something else. We found a great place and were approved by the owner, so we just have to sign the lease and it's ours as of May! Of course, my loyal cat Zeus will be coming and my friend's yorkie-poo Gizmo.
I went to a job interview! Sure, I didn't get the job but I got experience in a job interview setting and I got out of the house to do something productive. I'm pretty proud of myself.
I went on a date! Nothing will probably come of this either but it felt good to get back out there.
So it's been a month full of experiences guys. I tried some new things. I went out of my way to challenge my anxiety.
My self esteem is doing pretty great too. I've been feeling pretty good about myself. This could be because I've lost 20 lbs since starting the gluten free, dairy free, etc diet. Twenty pounds! I'm so happy; I'm starting to feel like myself again.
Anyway, the family and I are headed to Florida to do the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Disney World. I'm really excited, sometimes it's good to get away from everything for a bit, even though this vacation will be far from relaxing!
I am worried my stamina won't be great enough to keep up all week, or that all the walking will cause me a lot of pain. But I can always rent a wheelchair or go back to the hotel for a nap, as we are staying on site at both places.
I've been doing a lot of research on allergy friendly menus at both resorts and luckily they have lots of options for my ridiculous diet!
Bell Let's Talk Day was recently. I tweeted and so did many of my friends. Sharing stories and experiences. One of my friends got kicked off twitter for tweeting and retweeting too much. I think it is a wonderful campaign. I read lots of stories from strangers that touched my heart. And all the sharing and stigma breaking leads to money being donated. Which is perfect.
I'll do my best to blog more often this year. I should have more time to blog in the future, just finding the house in kingston was time consuming and stressful.
Thanks for still reading and supporting me,
Jess
