Welcome to 2018!

Helloooooo friends!
I am going to give you an update on my life! And then plug my new little business venture at the end. Get excited!

So hey. It has been awhile.  I miss you guys.

In all honesty I've thought about writing a post for awhile but just kept putting it off.... I know, I know, I am sorry.  You all mean a lot to me!

Soooo I left you in a pit of my despair.  Luckily for all of us I got better! Mostly.
I saw a psychiatrist and have started a new drug Buspirone, on top of my cipralex. It seems to be working.  My mood has been remarkably high lately (like reasonably high, not mania).
I have been in a very, very bad pain flare for the last month, but it hasn't drastically effected my mood, which is a win!

I have had a few panic attacks which are not fun, but I'm getting through them.

School is going amazing! I got a 97.5% on a test a little while ago, which is amazing.  I am really proud of myself for working hard and achieving results I am proud of.

I have started weight watchers.  I am overweight by a lot and considerably unhappy about how I look and my clothing not fitting.  In the past month I am down 11.2lbs which I am proud of as well. There's a lot to go but I'm working on it and doing my best.

I'm moving! My landlord has been extremely difficult and did not disclose that the building I park in has been sold and I no longer have underground parking. I have a hard time doing snow removal on my own and outdoor parking is not reliable for me, so I'm moving out.  Its a big stressor but worth it in the long run.

Speaking of parking... I have an accessible parking pass now! I love it.  It is an amazing preventative tool.  Not having to walk 10+ minutes to get from my car to any building I need
to be at has been MAGICAL.  It is greatly reducing pain during class time.

BUT. I have been called out already by an older person. I've had it for 2-3 weeks.  This weekend I went to the bank and was rudely told I needed to have a handicap pass to park in the spot I parked in.  When I said I had one, he sarcastically asked if it was for me.  Yes, I don't look disabled but I promise you I am and it hurts like hell when someone invalidates your problems.  He has absolutely no idea what I have been through and why I need to park close.  I would rather park in this spot and not have to cry myself to sleep tonight in pain. If I can even sleep, painsomnia is a thing people!

No one has questioned my parking situation at school which is so relieving.  I feel comfortable there, but I get very anxious using an accessible spot anywhere else, and usually will choose a different spot if I can, which can be harmful for myself...

Finally, I have started a small business through Arbonne! I was in communication with my Personal Trainer I worked with in high school during my rowing career.  She was always very supportive and helped me to be my healthiest and best self.
She approached me about being a consultant for Arbonne and told me all about this amazing company which I am very interested in.

Arbonne has a 30 Days to Healthy Living program which I have decided to participate in and document my journey with.  I want to be an advocate for healthy living like my previous personal trainer.  She will once again be supporting me and encouraging me to reach my goals, this time through business.

Please follow my Instagram or Twitter @jessbrownwood as I am sure to post more frequent updates on my health journey on there! I will of course keep you lovely people in the loop and in the meantime feel free to visit http://JessicaBrown117751235.arbonne.com to see all the wonderful products Arbonne has to offer, or message me and I can tell you even more!

I am always trying to help people.  And physical and mental wellness have a very strong link.  In order to be my best self I need to get my health 100% the best it can be.

Anyway, I think that's all for now.  I would say I'll try to post more frequently but you know I never keep my word.

Love ya,
Jess
